Welcome to Matthew Gerbrandt's Homepage! For four years, I conducted bird research in Oregon, Washington and Alaska. These pages include photos from a field ornithology research project that I worked on for the Alaska Bird Observatory. I also have a webpage devoted to the winter survival techniques that chickadees use to get through the long, cold winters of the Northwest.
I have worked on bird research projects for the
University of Washington, the Alaska Bird Observatory and
the Institute for Bird
Populations . I have also been a volunteer with the Portland, Oregon Audubon
Society.
